On 25 November 2025, the SAFE HARBOUR project was presented at the 7th Meeting of the EU Network for Children’s Rights by the EOC EU Office and the IOC. The presentation formed part of a session on protecting children from violence and promoting their well-being, bringing together representatives from EU institutions, Member States, and civil society. The meeting addressed policy priorities for children’s rights, including updates on the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child, progress on the European Child Guarantee, children’s voices on online safety and cyberbullying, intergenerational fairness and climate action, mental health and well-being initiatives, and advancing child-friendly justice. SAFE HARBOUR’s participation highlighted that safeguarding in sport is an essential part of children’s rights. Collaboration between EU institutions, Member States, and the Olympic Movement is key to ensuring that every child can participate in sport safely and with confidence.
