17 years of championing the Olympic movement to the EU: anniversary of the EOC EU Office

On 20 February, the EOC EU Office celebrated its 17th anniversary, marking another year of active engagement at the intersection of sport and EU policy.

Already throughout the year, the EOC EU Office had many reasons to celebrate. Several of our projects reached key milestones, like OCEAN and SIGGS 3.0 that were successfully completed. We also kicked off SAFE HARBOUR in 2025 and STRONG just last month. Our growing partnership network has reached a significant peak with 4 new additions, bringing the total number to 38. Building on this momentum, we convened high-level exchanges, including a meeting between the EU27 NOC Presidents and Commissioner Micallef feeding directly into our active contribution to shaping EU Sport Policy through engagement on the European Sport Model and the next Multiannual Financial Framework.

These achievements reflect our core mission: supporting our NOCs and partners, strengthening cooperation with EU institutions, and ensuring sport has the tools and recognition it needs to play its full role in society. To many more years to come with you, our partner NOCs and federations.
