The GAMES Transnational Project Meeting and Mid-term Conference in Athens

On 23 and 24 May, the Hellenic Olympic Committee hosted the Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) and Mid-term Conference of the GAMES project (Guidance to Achieve More Equal Leadership in Sport), coordinated by the EOC EU Office.
Representatives the partners NOCs, I Trust Sport, Equal Rights in Sport, as well as IOC attended the TPM to review the progress of the project and to discuss the content of the NOCs' National Action Plans as well as their associated National Launching Events and the GAMES Pool of Actions.

The Mid-Term Conference was held in hybrid format in the afternoon on 23 May in Athens in concomitance with the TPM. Almost 100 participants attended the GAMES’ Mid-term which showcased the main activities and deliverables produced within the framework of the project, as well as different strategies and steps that can be taken regarding gender equality in sport leadership. Therefore, various experts in the field of sport, good governance and gender equality were involved with the aim being to promote a better understanding of common challenges and relevant actions to successfully promote gender equality in leadership positions among European NOCs and federations.
