Start of the feedback period on the Commission’s initiative to reinforce the European Sport Model

The European Commission’s consultation period for its communication “A strategic vision for sport in Europe: reinforcing the European Sport Model” commenced on 15 September. Since Wednesday, stakeholders can articulate their perspectives on the strategic vision of organised sport as a public good in Europe. In practice, sport stakeholders are invited to provide input on the Commission’s public consultation and to express ideas for the future EU sport policy via a questionnaire. To contribute, it is necessary to register with an existing EU Log-in prior to the deadline on 8 December. After the feedback period, the public assessment is utilised as a central pillar to shape the Commission’s new long-term strategic document on the future of EU sport policy, scheduled to be adopted in the fourth quarter of 2026. Partners of the EOC EU Office will receive further information and the EOC EU Office’s contribution to the consultation in due course.
