SIGGS 3.0 Self-Evaluation Tool Officially Launched on the EOC EU Office Toolbox for Good Governance

The EOC EU Office is pleased to announce the official launch of the SIGGS 3.0 self-evaluation tool, now accessible through the Toolbox for Good Governance. The tool is designed to support sport organisations—particularly National Olympic Committees and federations—in assessing and strengthening their internal governance practices.

The new version of the tool was unveiled during the SIGGS 3.0 Final Conference held on 27 March 2025, where it was presented to more than 80 stakeholders from across the Olympic Movement and European sport sector. Developed in close cooperation with project partner Symantra, and supported by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, the SIGGS tool reflects a shared commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and long-term strategic planning in sport governance.

SIGGS 3.0 builds on the foundations of the previous editions of the tool by offering a more intuitive, adaptable, and user-focused platform. It enables sport organisations to conduct a comprehensive self-assessment across key governance dimensions, receive tailored recommendations, and use the results to guide internal discussions and action plans.

The tool is now fully integrated into the Toolbox for Good Governance, a resource hub maintained by the EOC EU Office to provide sport organisations with practical guidance and instruments for governance development. By making the SIGGS tool widely accessible, the EOC EU Office aims to reinforce a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making within the sport sector.

Initial feedback from early users has been positive, with organisations citing its clarity, relevance, and potential to facilitate meaningful organisational change.

With this launch, the EOC EU Office continues to advance the goals set out in the EOC Strategic Agenda 2030 and to uphold the Basic Universal Principles of Good Governance

The tool is now freely available and open to all interested sport organisations across Europe.
