Inaugural “Sport and Innovation Summit” hosted by the European Commission

On 30 May, the first “Sport and Innovation Summit” was hosted by the European Commission in Brussels. The event aimed to facilitate and accelerate the dialogue among different stakeholders in the field of sports and innovation. The summit kicked off with a closed session for participants (e.g. sport organisations, businesses, universities) to exchange views and discuss future cooperation with each other and with Programme Managers. The afternoon session was composed of three panel discussions focusing on the impact of innovation of performance in sport, the role of innovations in sustainability in sports and the positive effects of innovation on health and physical activity.
