The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) Skopje 2025 is well underway, bringing together over 4,000 athletes and officials from 50 delegations, including the first-ever EOC Refugee Team. Marking the largest edition in EYOF history and the most significant multi-sport event ever hosted in North Macedonia, the festival embodies the spirit of the European Olympic Movement, fostering inclusion, cultural exchange, and Olympic values among athletes aged 14 to 18.
The EOC EU Office attended the EOC Executive Committee prior to the Opening Ceremony to discuss strategic developments, including updates on EU policy and cooperation with EU institutions.
With competitions streamed live via EOC TV and public engagement on the rise, the event stands as a flagship example of how collaborative efforts across Europe, supported by both EU and Olympic institutions, build bridges for young athletes and empower future leaders. By promoting the values of Olympism and the European Union, the festival also embodies the spirit of the EU’s #BeActive campaign, which encourages everyone across Europe to embrace a healthier, more active lifestyle through sport and physical activity.
