Erasmus+ Sport Info Day 2024

Erasmus+ Sport Info Day 2024

On January 30, the European Commission and European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) organized the 11th Erasmus+ Sport Info Day, offering crucial information on the Erasmus+ Sport programme and networking opportunities. Commissioner Iliana Ivanova highlighted the programme's value and mentioned a project coordinated by the European Equestrian Federation as a good-practice example. Pierre-Yves Jeholet, representing the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, presented the Presidency’s priorities for sport. The event included a panel on opportunities, budget, and deadlines for the Erasmus+ Sport Programme 2024, aiming to fund around 310 projects. After that, the EOC EU Office contributed to the panel aimed to raise awareness of the relevance of EU sport policies and share experience and advice for less experienced applicants. The afternoon sessions covered different aspects related to the application and submission procedure, Key Action 1, and other funding opportunities. The event ended with concluding remarks from MEP Iban Garcia del Blanco, Co-Chair of the European Parliament Sport Group, and Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, Director-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, European Commission.
