On 14 and 15 May, the EOC EU Office hosted the Annual Partners Meeting. On the first day, partners of the EOC EU Office received comprehensive updates on EU funding programmes and opportunities. A discussion with Luciano di Fonzo (Education and Culture Executive Agency, EACEA) provided partners with valuable insights into the expected evolution of the Erasmus+ Programme and the broader trajectory of EU funding for sport. Additionally, Thomas Wobben (European Committee of the Regions) shared insights from the ongoing negotiations on the upcoming post-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), particularly focusing on the regional funding and cohesion policy, underscoring their importance for the funding of sport and the expected major changes in the architecture of EU funding opportunities. The second day was dedicated to policy and legal updates. Katarzyna Biniaszczyk, Parliamentary Advisor to MEP Bogdan Zdrojewski (EPP, Poland), Rapporteur for the initiative report on the “Role of EU policies in shaping the European Sport Model” and the upcoming report on Erasmus+, provided comprehensive updates on the advancement of both reports, outlining key developments and the projected timeline. Additionally, the EOC EU Office provided an update on its current European projects: OCEAN, SAFE HARBOUR, SIGGS 3.0. and EmpowHER. All discussions underscored the importance of a coordinated and joint advocacy effort by the organised sport across all European institutions to ensure that organised sport receives adequate funding in the upcoming MFF.
