THE EOC EU OFFICE IS RECRUITING AN EU POLICY OFFICER!

The EU Office of the European Olympic Committees (EOC EU Office) is the representation of the EOC and other major sport organisations to the European institutions in Brussels.

The EOC EU Office is looking to fill the following position as of 1 June 2021:

EU Policy Officer

Main responsibilities

  • The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of the EOC EU Office and will closely cooperate with other staff members.
  • Main tasks include:
  1. Monitoring EU Sport Policy and other relevant policy fields
  2. Writing reports and background documents
  3. Providing advice and services to partner organisations of the EOC EU Office
  4. Advocating the interests of the organised sport movement to EU institutions, including interaction with Members of the European Parliament, Member States representatives, and relevant European Commission Directorates General.
  5. Contributing to EU-funded projects coordinated by the EOC EU Office seminars, workshops, conferences and any other activities of the EOC EU Office

Your profile

  • Professional experience and knowledge
  1. Excellent knowledge of EU legal and policy framework, and in particular EU Sport Policy and funding
  2. Knowledge of organisational structures of European sport
  3. Working experience in member-based organisation would be an asset
  4. Professional and/or volunteer experience from the organised sport sector would be an asset
  • Formal education
  1. Advance University degree in relevant field (e.g. European studies, EU law, international relations, public policy etc.)
  • Functional competencies
  1. Superior presentation and communications skills
  2. Full professional working knowledge of English; good command of any other languages would be an asset
  3. Good ICT skills, in particular Microsoft Office
  • General attitude
  1. High personal and professional culture
  2. Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  3. Ability to work in a team
  4. High level of proactivity
