EOC EU Office Launches New Erasmus+ Project Focused on Empowering Athletes’ Rights and Responsibilities

The EOC EU Office is proud to introduce its new Erasmus+ project entitled STRONG (Supporting the Implementation of Athletes' Rights and Responsibilities in National Olympic Committees).

Launched in January 2026, the project aims to strengthen the implementation of the international standard on athletes' rights and responsibilities within European organised sport. It will place particular emphasis on supporting both NOC staff and athletes, with academic guidance provided by Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany).

STRONG brings together a consortium of 15 National Olympic Committees from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, and Switzerland, alongside academic experts from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

The consortium will meet for the first time in person during the Kick-off Meeting in Brussels in January. Follow us along and stay up to date with the project activities on this webpage or through our social media.
