The EU Office of the European Olympic Committees (EOC EU Office) is the representation of the EOC and other major sport organisations to the European institutions in Brussels.

The EOC EU Office is looking to fill the following position as of 1 July 2023:

EU Policy and Funding Officer

Main responsibilities

  • The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of the EOC EU Office and will closely cooperate with other staff members.
  • Main tasks include:
    • Monitoring of EU Sport Policy and other relevant policy fields
    • Monitoring of EU funding programmes and other relevant programmes for sport
    • Writing reports and background documents
    • Providing advice and services to partner organisations of the EOC EU Office
    • Representing the EOC EU Office in sport-related meetings at the EU level
    • Contributing to the drafting and implementation of EU projects
    • Contributing to the seminars, and all other activities of the EOC EU Office

Your profile

  • Professional experience and knowledge
    • Excellent knowledge of the EU legal framework and EU Sport Policy
    • Knowledge of organisational structures of European sport
    • Knowledge of the EU sport-related funding programmes and their modus-operandi
    • Experience with writing and/or implementing EU projects
  • Professional and/or volunteer experience from the organised sports sector would be an asset
  • Formal education
    • University degree
  • Functional competencies
    • Superior presentation and communications skills (verbal and written)
    • Full professional proficiency in English; good command of any other EU-languages would be an asset
  • Good ICT skills, in particular Microsoft Office
  • General attitude
    • High personal and professional culture
    • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
    • Ability to work in a team
    • High-level of proactivity
