Upcoming EU Work Plan for Sport discussed with EU Member States and sport stakeholders

In an informal meeting held in Louvain-la-Neuve on 30 January, the Council Working Party for Sport engaged in a comprehensive discussion about the anticipated EU Work Plan for Sport 2024-2027. Notably, the meeting welcomed the EOC EU Office and its director Folker Hellmund, who presented its position paper offering assessments of the previous work plan and valuable recommendations for the upcoming document. A key emphasis made during the meeting was the necessity for improved communication and early involvement of sport organizations in the planning process — a feeling that resonated widely among the present Member State representatives. The official adoption of the EU Work Plan for Sport is scheduled for 14 May 2024.
