STRONG

SUPPORTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ATHLETES' RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN NATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEES

Building STRONG foundations for athletes’ rights.

STRONG - Athletes’ Rights & Responsibilities

The STRONG project aims to enhance good governance across European National Olympic Committees (NOCs) by developing frameworks that protect and promote athletes’ rights and responsibilities. Building on the Athletes’ Rights and Responsibilities across the European NOCs, STRONG will create a European Framework for Athletes’ Rights, strengthen awareness and implementation through education and mentoring, and foster a sustainable network supporting athlete representation.

The STRONG project is a Cooperation Partnership co-financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Programme 2025.

The STRONG project will run from January 2026 to December 2027 - under the guidance of the EOC EU Office. STRONG gathers a prestigious consortium involving European NOCs (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Switzerland) and experts and researchers from Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz.
