Sport organisations active for sustainability called to sign Green Sport Manifesto

Sport organisations active for sustainability called to sign Green Sport Manifesto

The Green Sport Manifesto was officially launched on 11 September. Developed by the Green Sport Community of Practice of the European Commission’s “SHARE 2.0 Initiative”, this document aims to help sport organisations highlight their commitment to sustainability and foster a community of engaged sports actors. The Manifesto encourages sport organisations to establish sustainability governance structures, create strategies aligned with the European Green Deal, measure and report progress annually, support cooperation and knowledge-sharing, and promote the use of green sport tools. If your organisation has already started on its process to reduce its impact, or is willing to do so, you are invited to sign up to the Green Sport Manifesto. The EOC EU Office has contributed to the development of the Manifesto and encourages active sport organisations to consider joining the Manifesto to ensure recognition of their efforts. A webinar will provide more details on commitments and support provided to signatories, on 8 October 2025, from 11:00–12:30 (CEST).
