SAFE HARBOUR European Conference

SAFE HARBOUR European Conference

On 18 March, the EOC EU Office hosted the SAFE HARBOUR European Conference, marking the project’s halfway point and bringing together over 70 key stakeholders from across the European sport environment, European institutions and academia. Participants took stock of the SAFE HARBOUR’s main achievements, exchanged on challenges and good practices, and looked ahead to future developments, all in pursuit of a safer European sport environment. From evidence to action, the consortium is working towards producing a European Response Framework to streamline safeguarding responses across Europe, as well as national strategies that will bring its key findings to life. The conference also underscored a broader transformation: over the past 15 months, SAFE HARBOUR has evolved from a project into a movement, one that is set to shape the future of safeguarding in European sport.

You can read more on the European Conference on the SAFE HARBOUR website and follow the projects development by subscribing to the project’s Newsletter and following its LinkedIn.
