Resolution Calling for Support for Sport

Resolution Calling for Support for Sport

On Tuesday, 26 January, MEPs of the Culture and Education Committee (CULT) passed a Motion for a Resolution on “The Impact of Covid-19 on Youth and on Sport”.

The EOC EU Office, which actively contributed to the paper, welcomes the strong statement by the CULT Committee. Increased support for the sport sector during the ongoing socioeconomic crisis and access for sport to all relevant EU funding programmes are highly important not just for clubs and federations but for society as a whole.
The text will be tabled in the Plenary and put up for a vote in the coming weeks.
