Eventful week for OCEAN Climate Action Officers with Peer-to-Peer meeting and first Module 4 training session

On 17 September, the OCEAN Consortium convened online for the 2nd Peer-to-Peer Roundtable. This collaborative opportunity proved very valuable for fostering inspiration and gathering peer feedback to advance Climate Action Officers’ efforts in developing their carbon footprint reduction strategies. The session highlighted the common challenges faced by NOCs and drew attention to the broad range of measures that can be implemented at the national level.

Climate Action Officers gathered again on 19 September for the first session of Module 4 of the OCEAN Training Course, which focused on transport policy. Through presentations on key efforts of the IOC and NOC Denmark towards efficient transport policy, the session aimed to elucidate the key steps, identify primary stakeholders, and establish guiding principles in preparation for this crucial strategic policy to reduce the NOCs’ carbon footprint. The remaining two sessions of Module 4 will be held next week.
