Volunteers play a key role in sport and physical activity. Yet however, volunteerism has been in retreat, which raises concerns on the need to actively seek new ways of attracting and retaining volunteers in sport.
The European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE) has launched – within the EU funded project called V4V “Skills acquired through Volunteering in Sport” - the European Skills Survey on Sport Volunteering to ascertain specific best practices involved in volunteerism in sport and physical activity by looking at the intricate aspects related to recruiting, training, managing and retaining volunteers.
In order to better understand, as well as share knowledge and experience of volunteerism in sport, the European Skills Survey on Sport Volunteering targeting sports stakeholders will be available to participate in until June 2022.
