EOC EU Office partners gather for Special Competence Seminar

This week, the EOC EU Office welcomed its partner NOCs and federations in Brussels for the annual Special Competence Seminar. The two-days meeting was an opportunity to address, share and discuss current policy topics and funding issues related to sport in Europe, but also upcoming activities and developments for the year 2024. The EOC EU Office was honored to receive special guests. Antoine Duval, from the Asser Institute, and Katarzyna Gorgol-Maeder from the IOC, presented current legal cases related to sport. Vincent Pereira, IOC Head of Esports discussed the representation and challenges of Esports within the Olympic Movement. Lastly, Alexandre Husting, Chair of EPAS & the CAHAMA Group of the Council of Europe and Member of the Council Working Party on Sport, provided insights on the foreseeable future of sports in the EU.
