ENSGO webinar on the grassroots perspective on the European Sport Model

On 13 April the ENGSO EU Advisory Committee organised a webinar explaining the grassroots perspective on the European Sport Model (ESM), current challenges and proposed solutions for safeguarding the ESM. After a general introduction to the topic by the President of ENGSO, Stefan Bergh and Pierre-Louis Magnani from CNOSF, current challenges for the ESM were presented in the light of the “Super League” - case. As an answer to these challenges, ENGSO published their “Position paper on European sport model – the grassroots perspective” in December 2022. The paper includes a number of recommendations among which a proposal to establish an “EU Sport Dialogue by setting up a fixed dialogue panel session every year during the European Sport Forum to discuss needs and objectives of the European sport movement, following a similar structure as the EU Youth Dialogue”.
