The EmpowHER Volleyball Game Changer (EVGC) project, led by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and co-funded by the EU, has released its Gender Equality Survey Analysis, highlighting the continued underrepresentation of women in volleyball leadership across Europe. Based on over 820 responses, the study shows that women hold only 11–30% of leadership roles, with few organisations having gender equality policies in place. Those that do report better gender balance, supported by measures such as mentorship and transparent recruitment. The findings will inform the upcoming EVGC Toolkit, designed to help federations and clubs integrate gender equality into governance. As a proud project partner, the EOC EU Office emphasised: “This survey represents a milestone in the collective effort to make sport leadership more inclusive.” The full report is available via the CEV website.
