CULT Committee

During their meeting on 22 September, the Committee on Culture and Education (CULT) organised an exchange of views on the “Challenges of sport events’ organisers in the digital environment”. 

German Council Presidency Conference “Partnerships for Physical Activity and Sport - Be(come) Active”

Following the official opening ceremony of the European Week of Sport, the German Council Presidency organised a Presidency Conference on 24 September, with a focus on the topic of “Partnerships for Physical Activity and Sport – Be(come) Active”.

On 23 September, the European Week of Sport (EWoS) was launched in Frankfurt, Germany, as traditionally organised in the country of the EU Presidency.

With discussions around the Multiannual Financial Framework still ongoing, MEPs are pushing for an increase in budgets for programs such as Erasmus+ and EU4Health - the increase for latter of which Commission President von der Leyen has supported in her speech on the State of the European Union.
