European Sports Structures
The way sport is organised in Europe can be looked at on two different levels. At a European level sport is divided into governmental and non-governmental institutions that together make up a cooperative network. The other level concerns the organisation of sport in the different member countries of the European Union, and is known as the “pyramid-model” of European national sport organisations.
